The Beauty of Life

Image
I am grateful to God for the life He has given me. It's amazing. I came across this beautiful video of how we are formed in our mother's womb. I'd like to share it with you. I am absolutely sure that God created us in His image and I am proud of it. Jimmy

Buy the world a Coke

Image
I can't help but be emotional about this ad that google did for Coke. Imagine bringing the Coca Cola ad: "Hilltop" that came first in 1971 to life in our modern day. Harvey saw the reality of his idea to "but the world a coke" with the help of Google! This made me realize that life is a series of discovery and never stops. I know I still have a lot of opportunities, good and better opportunities ahead of me. My life is always beginning. Unstoppable, Jimmy You too can be unstoppable!

I Am Going On

Yesterday in Church, I heard my pastor talked about me and my blog: Jimmy Unstoppable. That's when I realized that I have not updated it for quite a while. That's when I also decided to continue on with this blog. I set this up to remind myself that life doesn't stop just because you've retired from work. The fact is, I feel I am just starting with my journey in life and I am discovering a lot of new things out there including the net world. When I started writing on this blog, I was so nervous that I wrote my articles on paper first and let my wife edit it before posting it here. Over time, that fear of making a mistake have been erased. Today, I write directly on the blog. Today, I feel more comfortable writing from my heart. What a change! So I am going on with this blog. I will not be hindered by anything, I am unstoppable. Many thanks to my precious wife, who have been my source of encouragement on a daily basis. Thanks too for my mentor Jomar Hilario, ...

20 Tips for Better Living in 2012

Image
2012. Another year has passed. Many said that 2011 went by so fast. I felt that too! But here's the thing. For those who were focused in accomplishing their goals, 2011 was fast. The reverse is true for those who were busy doing nothing. This year, my goal is to simplify my life and accomplish something. My focus will be on the things: 1. Grow in my relationship with God, 2. Family, 3. Ministry and this includes winning souls and making disciples, expanding our business reach and working with the interns at Uno Overseas. This morning I received an interesting email from a co-worker at NCR Phils., Tina Castaneda. I am posting this because am sure it will be handy if you're setting goals for 2012. It was a blessing to me and I am sure it will be to you too. You don't have to do all 20 but if you can do some which are meaningful to you, then you have made a step forward. Twenty tips for better living in the New Year:    1. Rise and pray every day: "Again ...

A Family Tradition

Image
Families are dear to our hearts. We were taught and we saw it from our parents, specially from mom and dad Valencia, that we can always have a reason to spend time together as a family. This tradition we continue to uphold. Last Wednesday, we invited the Geronimo and San Diego family for lunch at the Max's in Roces Avenue. We specially welcome Edwina, Allan's mom, who resides in Los Angeles. She's here for a Christmas vacation and to be with Allan and Monica and hold in her arms for the first time, Xander, her precious grandson. We enjoyed each others company. The food was, of course, delicious and filling. Thanks to the Geronimo family for the opportunity to host them for lunch. Hopefully, it is not the last but the start of many more time together. Going forward and unstoppable, Jimmy P.S. Blessings to Edwina as she goes back to LA next week. May the Lord, who has healed you, continue to give you the grace to go on and the strength to o...

Merry Christmas

Image
Hi there. I wish you a Merry Christmas today. You know what? It's really a merry, merry day because we remember and celebrate the birth of a Saviour, Jesus, who came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. This wonderful "life" was stolen from us in the garden but God, our Creator, has a plan so perfect that one day He will redeem us from our sinful life to become the person He created us to be. His only plan was to send His one and only begotten Son, Jesus, who became like one of us to redeem us. In behalf of my family, we greet you well and may you have a meaningful and precious Merry Christmas. Your unstoppable friend, Jimmy P.S. I received a gift from my daughters + son-in-law today. A pair of "Sanuk" Shoes. One that I have been dreaming of using one day. God knows our needs indeed! Thanks Rache, Steph and Nica+Allan.
